IDEA
In the Portuguese town of Sintra, the public administration planned to urbanize an area that is very close to the urban center. They establish to create two residential blocks (with the possibility to build another one afterwards), some buildings destinated to services and a green area conceived as an urban park.
The project proposal is to build 5 interlaced routes disposed on the area following the contour lines.
Thanks to a slight sloping, this road network (to which the different functions are attached) passes over the highway that separates the new urbanized area from the green one, and it branches in the park as a web of paths surrounded by nature.
The buildings are connected with the streets and they appear exteriorly like simple boxes. Nevertheless the residential ones are composed by 9 dwelling units mixed among themselves.
