The desire to create a sober and elegant product brought to a composition of elements that collaborate to build an out of time object that can be suitable for every kind of decoration.
The union of the different pieces that compose the bed creates a rhythm of solids and voids and a consequent succession of lights and shadows that gives the bed infinite shades depending on the light and its direction.
The bed is composed by 33 wooden pieces that are wedged and glued among each other. The wood used in that proposal is the oak because is characterized by its hardness, its duration and its resistance that makes it to be perfect for a piece of furniture that is exposed to a continous mechanical strain. Except for 4 elements, the pieces are very easy to be made because they don’t need a lot of cuts.
The second prize implies the construction of a prototype and the possibility to enter it in production.
